bsn-banner.jpgBSN HyperShred, like all other BSN product, is open label and provides clinically dosed ingredients for maximum effectiveness. Being open label means that all of the ingredients are listed individually with dose per serve of each item, showing that BSN has nothing to hide.

When an item is open label, all ingredients need to have a therapeutic strength and there is no “fairy dust” or "ingredient sprinklings" that some brands use. This is important, as we dont' always have the time to go hunting for research to find out if our product conains enough of the active ingredients that we need to get results.

Each 7.5g Scoop of BSN HyperShred Includes:

  • Acetyl L-Carntine HCl 1.5g
  • L-Tyrosine 500g
  • Caffeine Anhydrous 250mg
  • Green Tea Extract (leaf) 200mg
  • Longan Extract (fruit) as Euphoria Fruit Extract 200mg
  • Red Pepper Extact (Capsicum annuum) (Fruit) (Capsimax) 150mg
  • Guayusa (Ilex guayusa) (leaf) 100mg
  • L-Theanine 100mg

Efficacy of BSN HyperShred

BSN HyperShred is a thermogenic formula to support fat loss and weight management. The active ingredients in HyperShred work synergistically to support different aspects of fat loss, including thyroid support and appetite control. BSN HyperShred also focuses on energy, cognitive function and mood enhancement which can sometimes be harder to maintain when trying to diet and strip fat.

Each serving of HyperShed contains 1.5g of Acetyl L-Carnitine HCl. Many studies have proved the effectives of this novel compound, not only for fat loss, but to also support energy levels and cognitive function. In fact, a comprehensive meta-analysis has shown that weight loss programs with carnitine lead to 1.33kg more fat loss than placebo1. Acetyl L-Carnitine transports fat into your cells to produce a constant fuel source for your muscles, which is perfect for stamina and also if you are feeling tired and sluggish. Acetyl L-Carnitine has the ability to cross the blood brain barrier where the acetyl group is used in the production of acetylcholine to improve cognitive function. Other effects attributed to this acetylated dipeptide are: antioxidant, nerve protectant and anti-depressant2.

HyperShred has a positive effect on the catecholamines, providing support for the synthesis of dopamine, the feel good hormone, which increases epinephrine and norepinephrine to stimulate fat burning, improve mood as well and increase energy levels. This is attributed to the tyrosine content which is also necessary for the production of thyroid hormones. This is extremely valuable as your thyroid hormones control your metabolic rate. An added benefit of more dopamine is that you have less cravings for foods that create a “dopaminergic” response, like sugar and fat. Low dopamine has been linked to all sorts of addictive disorders, as well as food addiction.

HyperShred then delivers Green Tea which is abundant in the antioxidant EGCG (epigallocatechin3-0-gallate). EGCG also has a positive effect on norepinephrine by inhibiting an enzyme responsible for its breakdown which leads to more fat mobilisation to be used as energy. When you add caffeine into the mix the effects of norepinephrine are prolonged which equals more fat mobilisation and utilisation.

Green Tea has been shown to function as a stach AND fat blocker, have a calming effect through it GABA-ergic function, boost antioxidant status and specifically enhance abdominal fat loss 3,4,5,6.

BSN HyperShred not only contains 250mg of Caffeine Anhydrous but also delivers a hefty dose of Guayusa. Guayusa provides all the effects of caffeine including a diuretic action and enhanced fat metabolism but at the same time its L-Theanine content rounds off the sharp edges, having a calming action whilst enhancing mental alertness and focus.

HyperShred also delivers Capsimax in a dosage above that shown in clinical trials to support weight loss. The active ingredients capsaicinoids in Capsimax have been shown to promote lipolysis for energy production, not to mention the abundance of other health benefits from Capsimax consumption. This nutrient improves sympathetic nervous system tone thereby in order to gain this biological effect.

So here’s the low down on BSN HyperShred

HyperShred contains clinically researched ingredients at proven amounts to help you burn fat efficiently. It is open label, with each ingredient being chosen for its ability to stimulate fat burning or work synergistically with other ingredients in the formula to that end - i.e. to support lipolysis and fat utilisation. We highly recommend BSN HyperShred as an effective and functional thermogenic, fat burner. We give it a 4.8 / 5.
