About Vitamins for Circulation
The process of achieveing adequate circulation to the legs, or any extremities for that matter, is more complex than we would first realise. It not only involves the system of pipes (blood vessels) that carry the blood, but also a pump (the heart). Additionally, the blood must be of a good consistency, and not be overly thick (hypercoagulability). For this latter point, it is helpful to eat plenty of salicylic acid rich foods, such as fruits, vegetables and nuts. Aspirin, which is acetylsalicylic acid, converts to acetic acid and salicylic acid in the blood. Other important nutrients for circulation are vitamin C and the bioflavonoids, such as hesperidin, rutin and quercetin.
