BSc Protein Balls contain a blend of whey proteins and casein from milk, as well as soy protein isolate. All of these protein sources are high quality and contain balanced essential amino acid profiles, designed to maximise muscle recovery, preparing you for that next session in the gym. There are nine essential amino acids (EAAs) delivered in abundance by each and every protein ball, which are required for so much more than just muscle recovery.
One of the naturally occurring essential amino acids in BSc Protein Balls is phenylalanine, required for the synthesis of dopamine, noradrenaline and adrenaline. These brain chemicals help to keep us alert and in a good mood. Another EAA is tryptophan, which actually is not needed for muscle protein, though it is crucially important not only for our mood, but also for the health of our digestive tract, as precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin. So, not only do EAAs stimulate muscle protein synthesis, they also keep us healthy.
Whey Protein has many biological uses beyond that of muscle recovery, such as osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease1. Whey protein may in fact support blood sugar regulation as well via regulating incretins2. This makes BSc Protein Balls excellent nutritional support for so much more than athletes and exercise enthusiasts. This product is in fact great for use for the support of general health. These low carb balls are high in protein at more than 22g per pack and are low in carbohydrates at less than 4g. They offer a taste sensation that is guilt free so you can enjoy a delicious snack.
Try taking BSc Protein Balls as a snack throughout the day, after exercise, or during long-distance exercise programs. Alternatively, they can be enjoyed after a low-protein meal to boost your protein intake.
