Appetite Suppressant Supplements

Keeping the appetite under control is perhaps one of the most difficult parts of a weight loss program. If hunger only came fleetingly—and we only craved vegetables and lean protein food—weight loss wouldn't be too difficult. But let's get realistic here. There is always going to be a bakery pumping out fresh crusty bread, and aisles of packaged delicacies at the grocery store. So no matter how hard we try not to look, or to convince ourselves that we don't need them ... it isn't always easy. Fortuntely, there is a lot that can be done to make food cravings, and the general feeling of being hungry, a little more manageable when we are reducing our calorie intake.

One of the most tried and tested—and usually forgotten—methods for increasing fullness without the calories is to increase the fibre intake of your diet. If you've already got your diet jam-packed with low GI high fibre foods, then adding a slippery elm powder supplement to your protein shakes can be a good move. One teaspoon of slippery elm powder contains plenty of soluble fibre. Solube fibre, as the name suggests, absorbs water really well. The fibre literally swells and becomes gelatinous before the eyes when mixed in water. It is quite filling, and, being a fibre, low in calories. This means less hunger, which generally makes adaptation to a lower calorie eating plan a little easier to manage. Slippery Elm Powder can also be added to baking mixes.

Chromium and Garcinia cambogia may also be useful for reducing the appetite. The mineral chromium is often used for the management of blood sugar irregularities, and supplemented for sugar cravings. So if sugar is your thing, maybe give chromium a go. Garcinia has been demonstrated to help with food cravings in general, perhaps by increasing brain serotonin levels and improving our mood. Again, it is important to remember your triggers for poor food choices, which can be stress, low mood, PMS or boredom. Of course, poor food planning and skipping meals can lead to a food intake that is too low. This can make us feel ravenous, causing us to grab and snatch at anything within arms reach that is remotely edible ... well, you get the picture. This tends to not be ideal for weight loss, or for general health for that matter.

Other useful strategies are implementing a low-calorie protein powder—that you particularly enjoy the taste of—as a snack, to get you through those long stretches between meals. Additionally, any supplements containing caffeine and other stimulants such as Eria jarensis, help to activate the sympathetic nervous system and reduce appetite.

Take your time in examining our range of Appetite Suppressants to find the one that is most suitable for you. Good Luck!
