Premier Nutrition Inc, the Carlsbad, California-based nutrition company was started in 1997 by friends Chris Geist, Lance Rankin, and Kerry Law. The trio first met in '93 working for a leading nutrition company. Frustrated the company was not considering formulation changes to fit the market interest in a high protein, low carbohydrate bar they decided to start a bar company of their own.
