Greenridge Botanicals was formed in 1987 to grow, source and process chemically free herbal medicine products, ensuring the highest quality and maximum therapeutic effect.
Greenridge began as a private company comprising of shareholders mainly form 2 prominent Toowoomba families, the Vandersee (of Vanderfield Machinery, local distributors of John Deere farm machinery) and Jauncey (family owned Matilda Fresh Foods) families. Due to the downturn in the agricultural industry caused by the drought in the late eighties the Vandersee family saw the need to diversify. Greenridge's then managing Director, Ray Vandersee, claimed that a radio interview with a Gosford Herbalist, Denis Steward, was the catalyst for venturing into the medicinal herb industry.
Today Greenridge has around 80 herbal products on the market in the form of liquid extracts, tablets and capsules. Greenridge recently revamped its product packaging and repositioned the brand as 'The Herbal Specialist'.
